Event : Book Release on the history of Jai Hind College titled “ I will I can”
Jai Hind College hosted the launch of the Book on the History of Jai Hind titled “ I will & I can”. His Excellency, the Governor of Maharashtra Shri. Sankaranarayan launched the book along with the Author Ms. Nandita Bhavnani and the President of the Managing Board Mr. Suneel Advani.
The Governor addressed the huge gathering of staff, students and dignitaries and while expressing his vies said, “The Book “ I will & I can” narrates the story of JHC and is infact the story of the people who were uprooted from their own land on account of partition”
His Excellency also praised the college and said “ I believe Jai Hind has all that it takes to become one of the leading colleges in the country & among the best in the world”
The Governor was impressed by the Research done and felt the book was an excellent one & was comprehensive and informative.
Ms. Nandita Bhavnani also elaborated on her journey of the writing of the Book and narrated few of her experiences while collecting the data.
The Governor mentioned that the city of Mumbai owned a great deal to the Sindhis for contributing to the development of the City of the State.
His Excellency Shri. K Sankarnarayan was impressed by the Motto of the college “I will & I can” and felt this should be adopted even by the people in other fields specially politicians. |
