Department of Sindhi / Sindhi Circle.

Jai Hind College was set up in 1948 by a small band of dedicated teachers of D. J Sind College, Karachi.

The College is a minority college managed by a Trust namely “Sind Educationists’ Association “(SEA).   Being a minority college its aim is to keep Sindhi language alive.

History of the Department:

The Sindhi Department of Jai Hind College has been functioning since the inception of the College.  Prof. Ram Panjwani, Dr Arjan G. Mirchandani & Dr Baldev Matlani have been the Heads of the Sindhi Department./Sindhi Cirlce in the past.

From 1997, Kajal Ramchandani has been the Head of the Sindhi Department and the Joint Secretary of the Sindhi Circle.
