B.Sc. program in Chemistry
Established in 1949, the Department of Chemistry at Jai Hind College is the institution’s oldest and largest department, recognized for its longstanding tradition of academic excellence. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry offers a deep dive into various chemistry fields, including physical, inorganic, organic, and analytical chemistry. Students develop strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on laboratory skills throughout the program. The course focuses on applying chemistry concepts to real-life problems and emphasizes environmental sustainability. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in industry, research, and further studies. The recent introduction of a Ph.D. program underscores its strong commitment to research & innovation. The Department is also a recipient of DST FIST and DBT STAR Scheme of Government of India.
