| The
French Department of Jai Hind College is as old as the College itself. French
is taught at the FYBA level as an optional language and about 50-60 students opt
for French. There is a lot of interaction with the students. They are encouraged
to compose essays, poems, skits & dialogues in French. Grammar is taught meticulously
and correct spellings and pronunciations are emphasized. |
| The
Department also has a French Club which was established in 1988-89. The French
"Soiree" has songs, dances, skits, and Fashion shows with a French theme. For
the serious student of French, there are activities like essay and poetry writing
competitions, quiz, elocution competition, what's the good word, etc. |
