| The
commerce department of Jai Hind college was set up in the year 1980 and has been
in continuous operation since then. Apart from the B.Com undergraduate classes
the department also handles lectures in the Arts faculty as a part major combination
ie Economics/ Commerce. The department offers two applied component papers ie
Advertising at the second year B.Com class and Export Marketing at the final year
B.Com class. The department also offers three papers in Business Management at
the final year B.Com class as a subject of specialization. The department has
consistently produced academically good results ie is over 95%. Majority of our
students obtain a first class at the Mumbai University exams. Since 2005, the
students of the commerce faculty have started a Commerce Association. This association
handles various co-curricular activities related to the faculty of commerce |
